I have always been compelled by the idea of working in the food-writing industry but have had no idea how I would get involved in it. This book offers comprehensive, practical, and interesting information that is presented in a clear and compelling way. Highly recommended!
I am a bit of a foodie and also have written some freelance pieces on cars (my business). I was looking for books on food and this popped up - well done! Really explains in an informative, enjoyable, and actionable way how to take the first steps to getting your feet wet in the food writing world. Aside from the concrete advice, there were also good examples and good resources to learn more. This is much more than one of those run of the mill books that tell you "if you work hard enough you too can follow your dreams". It gave me a lot to think about, but more than that a lot of clear info on how to go about becoming a food writer.
...or at least spring for a decent editor. I could barely move forward with this horrifying, poor use of language and disregard for proper English. This was the least productive $2.99 expenditure EVER and I am offended.
This book is very poorly written and shares only the most basic knowledge about food writing. I recommend Will Write For Food.
