Lauren Blakely has a way with words. I already knew that, but I thought I would mention it for those of you haven't had the pleasure of reading one of her books. She knows how to grab your attention immediately and never let it go. Out of Bounds did exactly that, saving me from a book slump I had been in.

I absolutely loved Out of Bounds and its characters. Drew was the football player we all fantasize about. Sure he was gorgeous and buff, but he was also smart and sweet. He didn't let his cockiness get the best of him. Dani was everything I love in a great female main character. She wasn't just a pretty face. She was smart, tough and knew as much about football as Drew.

Out of Bounds had a lightness to it that I loved. Dani and Drew's romance had a little bit of the forbidden romance thing going on, but it wasn't filled with a bunch of drama or angst. Their chemistry was amazing and apparent each time they were together. Dani and Drew's romance was cute and so much fun to read.

The only thing I could complain about with this book is that it was too short! 150 pages wasn't long enough. I flew through this book and was surprised when I got to the end. I wanted more Dani and Drew! I loved them so much!

Out of Bounds was a romance novel that would be perfect for the beach, a plane ride or just an escape from every day life.

The story is about Drew, who plays quarterback for the NFL in Los Angeles, who meets Dani who happens to be the attorney for his team. But when they first meet neither one of them tells the other who they really are.
However, Dani knows who Drew really is but doesn't let him know right away, for fear of scaring him off. They just enjoy their time together getting to know one another.
When they do let each other know who they really are, Dani is concerned that dating each other night be something that HR might frown upon so they hold off. But they keep running into each other and long to date one another.
Things get really good then. I love the continuing story. Love the passion they have for each other. Also love the side story with Dani's little sister and Drew's friend Jason.

When you combine one of your favorite authors with one of your favorite genres, you're practically guaranteed to get a fantastic read. So to say I was thrilled that Lauren Blakely was releasing a sports romance is quite the understatement!

Blakely delivers a deliciously sexy sports novella featuring footballer, Drew and lawyer, Dani. They meet on the beach when Dani checks to see if Drew is hurt after being clobbered by a rogue surfboard and while Dani quickly realizes who Drew is, she's happy to pretend not to know he's the rising star quarterback for a local professional team. And who is Dani, I hear you ask. Why, she's a lawyer for the *other* local team - where Drew gets transferred to.

So this book has a bit of a forbidden feel to it team lawyer and quarterback plus the slightly older woman and it totally rocked my world. The interactions between these two are fun and flirty and the sexy times are in-freaken-sane! Delicious! Hot!

What I love most is that Blakely (as always) gives us good, solid characters. Further to that, she never gives a weak heroine; they're always strong within their own right, smart, and are far from needy. Dani is a perfect example of that and I want to be her friend, desperately! And another thing? These women are ADORED by their men and Drew is no exception to this. I love how he views Dani as a badass because she really is one with a huge heart! As much as I love and lust for The Blakely Boys, the girls have their own special place for me.

I really loved this novella and I really hope that Blakely continues with writing sports romances - she's proven to be damn good at it!

Lauren Blakely delivers again with a new sports romance novella that is sweet and sexy.

The story follows a recently traded starting quarterback and a lawyer working for the same franchise. Though they attempt to resist their attraction towards one another, they cannot. What happens when they can't? A whole lot of sexy goodness!

The chemistry between these two from the very beginning is well-established from not only a physical level but an intellectual level a well. The banter and jokes between the two set up that this is more than just getting some action. There is general interest and flirting, and really all the things that woman love on a first date. Their chemistry quickly escalates to the physical level, and, as we all know, Lauren Blakely knows how to write a intimate scene that is scorching. Watching these two fall in love will only make the reader fall in love with them, as they are both amazing characters with zero unlikable traits.

The plot of the story progresses quickly, as it is a novella, but Lauren Blakely still gives the characters enough depth that readers care about them. They root for them to get together, and readers want to see them happy. The plot also allows for the development of the relationship to seem authentic. Throughout the story, the reader gets more than just physical interaction. The author allows the reader to see them interact on the work and personal spheres they live in, which only bolsters the believability of their relationship.

Lauren Blakely does it again with her newest novella, Out of Bounds. The characters, the story, and the romance will win you over and have you cheering for Drew and Dani to finally win the game of love!
